God Kings is an excellent and highly addictive mobile game. Its graphics are superb for a mobile game and in truth, I wouldn't mind a PC port of this game just so I can see everything more clearly. But it's a fun game with a lot of objectives and a constant low level of tension that keeps things interesting, with other players' kingdoms always in sight. The hunt quests are always interesting and I enjoy being able to deploy troops to work in food mills, mines, quarries and shrines while my city is working on larger research projects. It really helps you feel like your troops have a purpose when you're not at war with someone. I really only have one major concern about the game as it stands. It holds the player's hand perhaps a bit too much, and always tells us what we should do next. While that's not necessarily bad, it does sort of remove some of the freedom of choice. We can always ignore it and do our own thing though. That said, God Kings is excellent. If you're a fan of games like Civilization, give God Kings a try. It presses all the right buttons to create a similarly enjoyable and yet unique experience, with a phenomenal pseudo-Egyptian/Medieval warfare vibe.
