The spread of terrorism, the forces of darkness everywhere, combating crime, protecting world peace, you will become a hero.
It was just a matter of time that mobile devices got a performance good enough to support 3D environments, or at least 3D-like, thus getting the land ready for First Person Shooters’ landing. SWAT: End War, by FT games, comes to be a quite simplified version of more complex FPSs, because your character remains static and can’t either move or cover. Every enemy has a time bar indicating how much time left you have before he shoots at you, quite in the way of Time Crisis, to put an easy example. However, scenarios aren’t interactive.
On the other hand, there are enough weapons and upgrades to keep you entertained for a long time while you fight over for freedom in different places and collect credit cards to take part in some minigames to get premium stuff. If your device screen isn’t large enough, there are (wisely) two different controls so game’s playability isn’t affected by your phone specs.
In the end, it’s a fun game, perfect for those whose devices can’t bear last generation shooters and who prefers the freemium formula over paid games. This SWAT if free, though ad-supported, and eventually you weapons and ammo won’t be enough to advance further and you’ll have to purchase in-game currency.
