Magic: The Gathering fans will love the new game Magic: Puzzle Quest where they can finally enjoy their game without having to worry about finding a partner. The puzzle style game still takes knowledge of the game, but is fun for match-3 style fans as well.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR SPELLBOOK
Build a worthy deck and battle some of Magic: The Gathering’s most deadly forces. Powerful spells such as Tragic Arrogance or ferocious creatures like Avaricious Dragon await combat on the match-3 battlefield.
RECRUIT MIGHTY ALLIES
Choose the most powerful Planeswalkers in the Multiverse and build a deck worthy of these formidable mages. Stay several steps ahead of your enemy with Jace, the master of deception or unleash the pyromantic fury of Chandra, the fire mage.
UNLEASH YOUR PLANESWALKER
Use your Planeswalker’s unique abilities like Chandra’s Flameshot to annihilate your enemies, or Liliana’s Necromancy to raise the dead. Level up your Planeswalker and spells to crush your foes.
For so long, Magic has always been a game that required partners. However, this puzzle game allows for solo play to build up your deck. The game itself isn't all that different from match-3 style games you have played before, but it is still done well. The added ability to pick and choose spells does give it an original spell. The sound effects work within the context of the game and the visuals are on-par with what Magic: The Gathering fans have come to expect.
